1981 CRISTAL ROEDERER
The Cuvée
Created in 1876 for Tsar Alexander II, Louis Roederer's Cristal is the epitome of luxury and excellence in Champagne. Made only in the best years, the 1981 vintage reflects the House's exceptional expertise. A harmonious blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, this champagne is renowned for its finesse, complexity and remarkable ageing potential.
The 1981 vintage
The 1981 vintage offered favorable weather conditions, enabling optimal ripening of the grapes. Cristal 1981 is distinguished by its golden color and delicate effervescence. On the nose, it reveals complex aromas of dried fruit, honey, brioche and slightly spicy notes. On the palate, the attack is lively, followed by a silky texture and fine minerality. The finish is long, marked by hints of hazelnut and caramel, testifying to its harmonious evolution over the decades.
The House of Louis Roederer
Founded in 1776, Louis Roederer is one of the last great Champagne houses to remain family-owned and independent. Owner of its own vineyards in the region's finest crus, it practises environmentally-friendly viticulture, integrating biodynamic methods to preserve the pure expression of terroir. Cristal, the company's flagship product, embodies this relentless quest for perfection and authenticity.
